Partypoker is intent on making Millions Online even bigger this year by giving away thousands of cheap seats.

Announced this week, the Million for Millions promotion will give newbies the chance to take part in the December event for free. By creating an account and making an initial deposit, new players will receive three free satellite tickets.

As well as free entry to M4M qualifiers, MTT fans can complete daily challenges and progress through the satellite system in an effort to win a $10,300 ticket.

More Gateways Could Open Up New Records

By offering more qualifiers than before, Partypoker is hoping to break last year’s record, counter the increased buy-in and avoid a last-minute panic.

During the early stages of 2018’s Millions Online, an overlay was on the cards. However, thanks to a late surge, the $20 million prizepool was breached and a new record was set.

This time around, the organizers are banking on increased interest and extra entry points to bump up the numbers. Indeed, with the 2019 Millions Online carrying the same guarantee as last year, the aim will be to push the prizepool beyond the $22 million mark.

In tandem with a glut of additional satellites, Partypoker’s efforts to exterminate bots could help set another record. As its done since December 2018, the security team recently published its latest kill statistics.

Partypoker Pushing Out Cheats

Down on previous months, September’s account closures recovered just over $13,000. As per the report, 13 poker bots were shut down on the dot.com network and three were deleted from Partypoker.eu.

Compared to previous months, catching 16 bots is a significant drop in activity. In August, 48 cheats were taken offline, while July saw 121 fraudulent accounts shuttered.

While kill rates will naturally fluctuate, there’s a chance Partypoker is gradually weeding out the cheats.

Although this can’t be known for sure, it has made bots a primary focus over the last ten months. With that being the case, cheats may be taking their illicit business elsewhere.

If that’s true, Partypoker is moving a step closer to its goal of becoming the safest online poker site in the world. In context, that’s significant given that PokerStars recently lost its position in online poker’s traffic rankings.

With anything seemingly possible, everyone is scrambling for position. If Partypoker can continue beating bots and hosting record-breaking MTTs, there’s no reason it couldn’t become one of the most active sites in the world.
