Thanks to countless hours at the virtual felt, I_AGAINST_All has become a Diamond Club Elite member. Although they’re not the first to cross the $200,000 rake milestone, they are the first cash game player to do it.

By joining Sp0ubledy (the first Diamond Club Elite member), I_AGAINST_All has unlocked a host of rewards. What’s more, they’d proved that extra incentives are enough to inspire players to put in some serious volume.

Added Value Boosts Traffic at Partypoker

Partypoker unveiled its new top-tier loyalty level back in February. Aiming to attract high-volume players with 60 percent rakeback, the promotion has boosted traffic across the site.

From 24-hour cash game peaks around the 1,700-player mark, Partypoker now attracts an average of 2,000 ring game grinders each day. With tournaments adding more players to the mix, Partypoker has climbed to fifth in the global traffic rankings.

For I_AGAINST_All, the introduction of Diamond Club Elite has opened the door to a wealth of added value. As well as a $20,000 bonus, the online pro will receive 100 percent cashback until January 2020 for becoming the first cash game player to rake $200,000.

On top of those rewards, I_AGAINST_All gets free entry to the $10,300 Millions Online in December. Finally, alongside entry to Partypoker’s $20 million online event, the grinder has earned a $16,000 VIP package for the 2019 Caribbean Poker Party.

With two players proving that Diamond Club Elite is an achievable goal, Partypoker will want others to follow suit. Indeed, part of the decision to revamp its loyalty scheme was influenced by discontent from players at PokerStars.

Industry Rivalry Spawns New Innovations

When the market leader rolled our Stars Rewards in 2017, regulars were unhappy about the changes. Calling it less lucrative than the previous loyalty scheme, the update compounded earlier issues that led to a 2015 protest.

To ongoing counter criticism, PokerStars revamped Stars Rewards in 2019. At the heart of the update was a push to tailor bonuses to each player and, moreover, make it easier to earn low and medium value prizes.

However, while the changes have helped casual players, some high-volume don’t believe they’re getting as much value as before. Looking to capitalize this, Partypoker has put a lot of effort into Diamond Club Elite.

With another player crossing the threshold, it seems as though those efforts are starting to pay off. If that can translate into additional traffic spikes, Partypoker’s ongoing rivalry with PokerStars could lead to even more added value for players.
