The forthcoming Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open will received a much needed media boost recently after PokerStars.TV confirmed that it will be covering the $10 million Main Event.

Not only that, but internet viewers will also be able to watch the $100,000 High Roller showdown complete with hole cards and expert commentary from some of the world’s top poker pros.

From Europe to the US

Although US customers have been able to watch a host of European events via their computers over the past few years, PokerStars’ absence from the American tournament scene since 2010 has meant a lack of US-centric broadcasts.

With a $10 million guarantee, the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open will be one of the largest prizepools offered

Fortunately, thanks to the site’s involvement with the $10 Million Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open, fans across the world will now be able to focus on Florida and watch the action unfold via an “almost live” feed.

In the same style as European broadcasts, the US stream will feature a 45-minute delay.

Because of this, watchers will be able to see every hole card at the feature table and get expert insights courtesy of guest commentators such as Daniel Negreanu and Isaac Haxton.

Added Value for Viewers

Presiding over each broadcast and offering some color to each stream will be Joe Stapleton. The American funnyman will not only anchor each show, but offer viewers an exclusive array of gifts and promotions.

According to Amaya Gaming and PokerStars CEO, David Baazov, his aim over the next few months is to increase the company’s US exposure ahead of further online regulation and creating a US live stream is central to that plan.

Moreover, such a marketing stance should lead to more media opportunities for both US and international poker fans.

Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open

With a $10 million guarantee, the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open will be one of the largest prizepools offered by an event outside of those controlled by a major organization.

Costing $5,300 to enter and backed by PokerStars, the event will likely welcome some of the world’s top players, including Phil Ivey who recently confirmed that he will be travelling to the tournament after a stint at in Barcelona.

The festival’s Main Event will get underway on August 28 and feature three opening flights and run for seven days in total.

Following this MTT, there will be a $100,000 Super High Roller. Although there is no guarantee attached to the event, the latest high stakes tournament at EPT Barcelona attracted 77 entrants, which means the Floridian event could see a prizepool easily exceeding $2 million.
