Following another record-breaking World Series of Poker (WSOP) and its own innovations, the TV company is heading to London in September.

First up on its “majors” schedule will be the British Poker Open. Taking place inside London’s Aspers Casino, the festival will feature 10 events between September 2 and 12.

Buy-ins will range from £10,000/$12,500 to £100,000/$125,000 and the first “on-time entry” in each event will be rake-free.

UK Event to Stream Internationally

As well as prize money and a chance to win become British Poker Open Champion, players will appear on Poker Central. Utilizing its online streaming service, PokerGo, Poker Central will broadcast the action to an international audience.

Once the British Poker Open wraps up, Aspers will host the Super High Roller Bowl London. The three-day event will start on September 13 and feature a £250,000/$313,000 buy-in.

Like previous Super High Roller Bowl events, entry will be via a random selection process. There will be 49 seats in the tournament, 19 of which will be reserved for specially invited VIPs.

The remaining 30 seats will be allocated to those selected via a live draw. Interested players can pay a $31,300 deposit to register their interest.

From those that pay, 30 will be chosen at random before the tournament gets underway.

In announcing the two new events, Poker Central also said Partypoker Live would be the headline sponsor. As well as branding and online satellites, a number of its sponsored pros will attend the series.

Poker Central Capitalizing on Tournament Season

The timing of the British Poker Open and Super High Roller Bowl London could be ideal. As well as European pros heading back from the WSOP, Triton is taking its brand of high stakes poker to London this summer.

Kicking off on July 31, the Triton Super High Roller Series London will feature eight events. The highlight of the series will be a £1.05 million buy-in tournament which has been described as the richest ever event of its kind.

Although the game’s elite will likely return home after Triton London, it should serve as a reminder that tournament poker isn’t only thriving in the US. Poker Central will be banking on this as it takes its products to the UK and beyond.
