PurePlay Poker Review

If you’ve ever wanted to be a poker player, but you get cold feet at the thought of losing money, then you’ll find what you are looking for at PurePlay’s social gaming site. Keep reading PurePlay Poker Sites review for more details.

PurePlay is the largest U.S.-based online poker site. The site was founded in 2004, by two guys who grew tired of playing poker online because no one took it seriously since no real cash was at stake to be won or lost after the ban in the US. PurePlay gives players the incentive to win, without the risk of losing. This is why several social gaming sites are gaining traction across the nation.

PurePlay is not an online casino, but instead a fun social gaming app that allows players to participate in their favorite poker games without the risk of losing money. The best part is, even though it’s completely free to play, players can still win real cash! We loved this aspect when conducting our PurePlay Poker Sites review.

Software

The PurePlay social gaming site gives you two options: you can download software to your PC or play on the internet browser.

The download social gaming app allows players fewer ad interruptions and a more attractive interface than the web version. The interface is a little cumbersome, but any online poker player will be able to easily adapt and find their way around the controls with ease. We had no trouble learning gameplay while conducting this PurePlay Poker Sites mobile review.

The browser-based version allows players who cannot download software onto their computers to be able to access their favorite poker games with a few clicks. The play may be a little slower and have more ads, but it is a good option if you do not wish to download software or for when the PurePlay developers are making tweaks to the downloadable software.

Stake Levels

PurePlay offers six different types of poker games, all at different stakes. Whether you want to play a low-stakes Omaha game or be more adventurous and go all-in in a No Limit Hold’em game, there is a fit for every skill level and every PurePlay “player level”.

Even if you don’t sign up for the Player’s Club and do not have a lot of play chips to start with, the more you play and the more games and bonuses you earn, the faster you will be able to move up the levels of PurePlay and have access to more prizes, games and tournaments.

Tournament Play

PurePlay offers many different types of tournaments for players to choose from. The two main types of tournaments they offer are Sit and Go, and Multi-Table, which we quickly learned about in our PurePlay Poker Sites review.

Sit and Go tournaments do not offer real cash prizes, but they do give players entries to the cash tournaments. Multi-table tournaments are divided by the Player’s Club Members and Basic Members.

As you play and win more, you are able to advance to bigger tournaments with higher cash prizes. There are daily and weekly cash tournaments for both Player’s Club and Basic Member players. Eventually, players who are good enough are allowed access to invite-only tournaments and the $10,000 World Series final.

Webcam Poker

Unfortunately, at this time PurePlay does not offer Webcam poker. While they do not provide this service, they do have a wide variety of poker games and non-poker options for players to enjoy.

Poker Formats

No matter what you are looking for, PurePlay offers a wide variety of games. We learned in our PurePlay Poker Sites review that players can choose from the following games at different stakes:

  • Texas Hold ‘em
  • 7 Card Stud
  • 7Card Hi/Lo
  • Omaha
  • Omaha Hi/Lo
  • 5 Card Stud

Loyalty Program

PurePlay offers three types of memberships - the Free Membership, Player’s Club Membership, and VIP Player’s Club Membership.

Free Membership is a completely free option and is great for beginners. Players do not receive a monthly allowance of chips and they must submit a mail-in application to participate in a daily cash tournament. If basic players wish to get more chips, they can buy chip packages or win chips by playing in contests.

Player’s Club Memberships cost players $24.99 per month. This membership includes 5,500 play money chips per day ($165,000 per month). Players receive 50 poker points per day, amounting to 1,500 poker points a month, which allows them to enter poker tournaments. Player’s Club Members also receive a free “Reveal the Cards” use per day or 30 monthly. In addition to play money and poker points, Player’s Club Members gain access to skill-based tournaments, individualized performance ratings, an ad-free poker room, and access to all of the cash tournaments without the hassle of a mail-in entry.

The VIP Player’s Club Members pay $49.95 per month. They receive 1,000,000 play money chips each time their monthly payment is received, as well as 11,000 bonus play money chips every time they log into the site. In addition to the other perks that the Player’s Club Members receive, the VIPs don’t see any ads in the game room.

If you are curious about the Player’s Club Membership, but you aren’t sure if it’s right for you, you can utilize a free month trial offered by PurePlay to test it out before making monthly payments.

Customer Service & Banking

If you’re lost and need direction, the detailed FAQ page will provide the answers you’re looking for. For those who can’t find answers to their questions, an email support system is available to get a quick response. Once you’ve had your fun playing for free, you can actually deposit real money at the casino through MasterCard or Visa. Remember that depositing is only required if you’re opting for the Player’s VIP Club membership. If you manage to win money, you can cashout, but the only option available for now is check. You have to send PurePlay a prize claim form along with valid identification for the payout to process. For those who have won more than $600, you’ll have to complete a W-9 form too.

Summary

Poker players who want lots of options and no risk will find their home at the PurePlay social gaming site. The site offers a variety of poker games with tons of tournament options. Players can choose to play on their browser or download software depending on their desired experience. Whether you want to play for free or want to increase your chances of winning money as you play and get the perks of a VIP membership, PurePlay has something for every poker player. As an established and trusted site for over a decade, PurePlay offers great prizes and loads of fun to people across the United States.
