World Series of Poker (WSOP) is always the most anticipated tournament series of any year. Now the folks at WSOP have released next year’s preview schedule (the full schedule should hit by no later than February 2016), and if you wait all year for WSOP, you’ll want to check it out.

First the dates, of course. Next year’s tourneys will kick off June 1st with the Casino Employee’s event (although the Series technically opens up on May 31st with cash games).

Colossus Returns

The first open event, now dubbed Colossus II in its second year at the Series, will kick off on Thursday, June 2nd, with additional starting flights on June 3rd and 4th. Re-entries will be allowed in the $565 buyin event.

The always popular Seniors event, which is open to any players age 50 and up, is slated for June 17th with a $1,000 buyin.

Other popular events will also return, such as the Millionaire Maker, the Monster Stack, the charity event Little One for ONE DROP that benefits those in Third World countries with clean water supplies, and the Ladies event.

The entire Series will once again be held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, and accommodations can be secured with your Total Rewards player’s card now at any Caesars’ Las Vegas property. Actual event pre-registration will not be available until March, however, as event details are still being finalized and will require regulatory approvals as well.

Satellite to Success

Players will once again be able to vie for buyins by participating in online satellites at the WSOP.com sites in either Nevada or New Jersey, and you need not be a resident of either state to play, as long as you are situated in one or the other while playing a qualifying satellite.

The kingpin Main Event will run from July 9th – 18th, and will include three starting flights on the 9th, 10th, and 11th for players willing to pony up the $10,000 entry fee (unless they have satellited in for a lower rate).

Players can find additional information by visiting the WSOP.com site.
